Faces of Myanmar - Market of Kalaw

Description

Up the breezy hills of the Inle region, lies the refreshing city of Kalaw. Its market is particularly lively every fifth day when tribes from remote villages of the area come to sell their produce and buy essential goods. There, stalls are filled with fruits, vegetables, tea, spices, bits of dried fish, clothing, and even traditional Burmese antiques or jewelry. You can identify women coming from the various ethnic by the longyi and turban of different colors they are wearing.
